The whole month of July has been hectic.. Lots of working, moving and never ending bureaucracy crap to take care of, but I’m glad to say that is almost over now. I’m in my new apartment, living the free like a bird fab life which makes me super happy. The apartment is awesome, yet there is one flaw.. It doesn’t have an oven!! I’m doing everything in my power to get one, but the universe apparently doesn’t wan’t to make that happen for me just yet and seems to be sabotaging all of my extremely amazing ideas. Nevertheless I tried to make some sweet treats for my birthday (which was now already a week ago) and here I am to share them with you. It’s a treat that all kids from ex-yu countries know and love , but sadly it is not vegan. Please meet my favourite kind of chocolate, the queen of them all
THE AMAZING PUFFED RICE CHOCOLATE!!
I saw it in the store the other day and it made me thinking how easy it is to make it and so came the idea of cute mini puffed rice chocolates.
If you haven’t already figured out how I made these, here’s what you’ll need to make them…
200g dark vegan chocolate (doesn’t hurt if we have a bit more on stock just in case we run out)
one cup of puffed rice to fill in the molds
a cute silicone mold for ice cubes or chocolate
Melt the chocolate in the microwave and start spreading it on the molds. Don’t put a lot of it because you need space for the rice. Fill it with the rice crisps and finally you can cover it with the rest of the chocolate. Remove the excess chocolate so the surface is smooth and put it in the fridge or freezer until it’s solid. All you need to do in the end is pop them out of the mold and enjoy 🙂
